Bulgaria: Vignette & Tolls

Vignette — how to buy it, current price bands, and how to avoid overpaying.

LAST VERIFIED 2026-07-29

Toll system

A digital, plate-linked e-vignette ("e-vinetka") is required for motorways and most national roads, purchased online or at petrol stations/border crossings, valid for a set period (weekend/week/month/year).

Buying it

Buy online through the official BGTOLL site, at petrol stations, or at border crossings. The e-vignette is plate-linked and digital — no sticker is issued. Buy only through BGTOLL or another officially authorized channel.

Price bands

2026 passenger-car (up to 3.5 t) prices: weekend pass around €5.11, 7 days around €7.67, 30 days around €15.34, 3 months around €27.61, annual around €49.60 — Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026, replacing the lev. Figures are indicative and can change — confirm the current price on the official BGTOLL site before buying.
