Naples: ZTL — Centro Antico
Naples restricts traffic through the ancient center around Spaccanapoli and the Decumani using camera-controlled gates. The city runs several separate ZTLs; this is the one covering the main tourist core, and its hours differ from gate to gate.

Hours differ by gate rather than applying zone-wide. The via del Sole gate runs Monday–Thursday 09:00–22:00, and Friday, Saturday, Sunday, public holidays and the days before them 09:00–24:00 and on until 02:00 the following morning. The via Miroballo, via Duomo and via Santa Sofia gates run daily 09:00–17:00. Check the gate on your specific route rather than assuming a single timetable.
Which vehicles are affected
Restriction is by authorization rather than emissions class. Mopeds and motorcycles are permitted through the Centro Antico gates.
Registering a foreign or rental vehicle
Permits are handled through the Sportello Unico Permessi (the ZTL office run with ANM, the city transport operator). Hotels inside the zone can usually arrange guest access — ask before you arrive rather than on the day.

Camera-enforced at four electronic gates ("varchi telematici").
Exemptions
Residents, permit holders and authorized categories; mopeds and motorcycles may pass.
Where the zone is
The Centro Antico zone is controlled by four electronic gates. Naples operates other, entirely separate ZTLs elsewhere in the city — Tarsia–Pignasecca–Dante, Mezzocannone, and others — each with its own perimeter and schedule.
