Turin: ZTL Centrale
Turin's central limited traffic zone is unusually narrow in time — it restricts access on weekday mornings only — but it is backed by one of the more extensive camera networks in Italy. Arriving outside the morning window avoids the restriction entirely.

Which vehicles are affected
During the restricted window, only authorized vehicles may circulate or park inside the zone.
Registering a foreign or rental vehicle
Circulating in the zone during the restricted hours requires a permit issued by the city or the operating company. One-off authorizations for occasional trips are requested through GTT, the city transport operator.
How it's enforced
Camera-enforced: plates are photographed at each access point and matched automatically against the permit database recorded when the permit was issued.
Exemptions
Holders of a valid permit issued by the city or the relevant operator. Because the restriction runs only on weekday mornings, timing your arrival outside 07:30–10:30 is the simplest way around it.
Where the zone is
Covers the central area of the city. Entry is camera-controlled at 27 points, with a further 11 camera points covering other restrictions inside the zone.
